Imani K Brown came into tattooing in the fall of 2005. As Chris Mensah, owner of Pinz-N-Needlez Tattoo was tattooing a small piece on her hand, she started inquiring about ways to get into the industry. Her overall hope was to succeed at living as a full time artist and eliminate the misconception of all artists being starving artists.

Currently, IKB is branding her artistic image of Indian Pussy and allows her art and tattoo style to be heavily influenced by artists such as Camilla D'errico, Fafi, Tim Sale, Dali, Shepherd Fairy, Toki Doki, Army of Sniper artists, Aniekan Udofia, fellow Art Whino artists, her peers at Pinz-N-Needlez & City of Ink, comics, manga/ anime, & videogame hobbies, and all things kawaii (or cute!).
